| I have many styles to my photographic work and they are all expressions of different moods and desires. Here are statements from a few of these moods:
The portraits in black and white are all influenced by paintings of the Northern Renaissance and the people who are close to me. The images come to mind from my classical fine art training and travels throughout the great European museums.
As a photographer, photojournalism is my first love, and I've combined it with my love of the nightlife and transformation. All the nightclub pics are from my old haunts and parties I would've attended with or without camera… the end result being one who puts themselves into the story and gets a more eager subject to the lens.
Having spent most of my adult life in cities, raised in suburbs where the shopping mall is considered a day out, the New Jersey boardwalk a foray into the wilds, I now explore landscape through the lens as a newcomer to nature. Travels to Central America and the high deserts of the American West bring peace from the city living I'm incapable of abandoning just yet. Trained in sculpture, goldsmithing and shooting portraits & documentary, I seek solitary work with the camera on my own time as a private moment of action -- a singular, individual experience. |
