BIOGRAPHY:

Ray Lobato is a California native, born on Route 66 in the High Desert town of Barstow, CA. He is self-taught in art as well as graphic design. Since early on, Ray's exceptional talents in drawing and design composition have pervaded his work. His Psychology (B.A.), and Sociology (B.A.) degrees from the University of California have certainly contributed to his social and political commentary. Besides his lifelong commitment to fine art, since 1993, Ray has enjoyed a successful graphic design business, RayDesign.

In 2003, Ray remodeled a run-down San Francisco custom framing shop and reopened it along with a new art gallery where he curated many successful art exhibits showcasing local emerging artists as well as his own work.

Highlights in 2008 include the completion of a large scale mural in Las Vegas and opening his new art gallery in Central America. His studio is in the Bayview district of San Francisco.
